This is a very thin liquid. As a person with very sensitive skin and bad eczema I was disappointed by how thin it was. I’m used to using thick lumpy creams. But I gave it a try and could not be more pleased, it’s awesome! I put it on my hands and slather it on my face and I love it! Highly recommend! I’m thinking about putting it in a spray bottle, but it is super moisturizing.
Moisturizer alone is not enough for my dry skin. I need serums and essences like Kikamasamune. It's so very necessary.
Dry skin + desert, this makes up for both.
A very light, runny moisturizer, but surprisingly hydrating. Can be used as a hydrating toner or extra layer of moisture in a skincare regimen. I use it in my face and body before applying a heavier cream. Lots of good ingredients to improve complexion (brightness). Scent is very mild.
I like this beauty lotion toner but it can leave my face a little oily if I put too much. This will be perfect for the winter months when it’s cold and dry. A little goes a long way and the bottle is a good size. Should last for several months.
One of the beauty influencers on Youtube mentioned this lotion for hydration and I thought why not give it a try. Oh my goodness! My 60 yo skin looks 20 years younger. It’s soft, smooth and hydrated. This lotion is not creamy but is a Japanese lotion (thin and watery). Don’t let that fool you. It will hydrate and soften even the roughest skin. My husband has dry alligator skin and when he uses this it is so soft. He is a convert too. Smells of sake but it does not linger. Perfect for the summer but have yet to see if it still works in colder drier weather. Give it a try. The price is so low why wouldn’t you?
I've bought this multiple times, and it leaves my face comfortable and hydrated. I don't enjoy the texture and feeling of lotion, so this is a pick plus. I just take a pump or two and pat it in gently after washing my face and I'm good to go
A very nice and effective moisturizing/brightening toner. Huge amount of product for the price which is the case with all Kikumasamune products (all of which I use and recommend!)
This is a Japanese lotion, not an American toner. It is a watery type of moisturizer meant to be used before applying other products. In this way, skin is supple in preparation for usage of serums, and other layering of products. I personally was tired of hunting down all of the sold out Japanese lotions on other websites, so after reading a few reviews on Amazon, I decided to try this one. I put my lotion into a spray bottle, and use it that way before applying other products. It's much easier for me this way, but many Japanese recommend using your hands to warm it up first. I like that it's not sticky, and it's great for sensitive skin. My skin is very sensitive, especially to vitamin c products, so this is great. I find that is really helps to make the skin more moist and supple before applying serums. There is a lot in this bottle, so unless you waste it, it will probably last an entire year. I highly recommend this to Japanese skincare aficionanos, especially if you have sensitive skin.
If you have dry skin this is great. Fades hyperpigmentation.

The only thing I would say is if the seller or manufacturer would package the bottle a little better because the pump was broken when I received it. Need to protect the plastic pump dispenser a little better, that's where it broke. Thankfully I had an extra pump that fit the bottle.
I tried this for my body care, before lotion, and I was surprised to see definite benefits. I have extremely difficult to treat keratosis pilaris (kp) that I use 12-15% lactic acid 2x a day to treat. Adding this lotion before my lactic acid lotion actually helped to fade some redness and improved the quality of my skin. I don't expect anything to do that, not even my derm recommended lactic acid. It makes me want to try it on my face, but I haven't yet. This is a quality product for a reasonable price that clearly has benefits for the skin.
it’s not the most moisturizing toner but for what it does, it works great! the price point is also amazing. i’ve been using it for about a month now and am not even a quarter in. the consistency is very watery and the pump does squirt it out quickly, so i would be mindful of that.
i love doing diy sheet masks with it twice a week. leaves my skin looking glowy and somewhat brighter.
It’s very liquidy and easily absorbed. My skin feels really refreshed and soft after using this along with my skin care regimen. The only drawback is the heavy scent. I have to hold my breath while I apply.
this smells so nice and dries quickly after application which i like. ive noticed a positive difference between this and what i used to use (brayers rose witch hazel toner). scent can be a bit overpowering. it lasts so long too, im not even a third of the way in and i also filled a travel size bottle for my overnight bag.

Kikumasamune High Moist is a watery, semi-clear liquid that smells very faintly of sake (fermented rice). The smell dissipates very quickly if that's a concern to you. This product is best applied just after cleansing and before any heavier products like serums and moisturizer due to its thin, watery consistency.
I absolutely love this lotion because it provides a lipid and hydration boost to my dry/combo skin, especially in winter months. I'm prone to skin irritation or eczema and this has never caused a reaction, in fact it soothes my skin when I go too hard on exfoliants or actives. I've used it on my kiddo's skin after bath time before lotion and it has helped with baby eczema as well.
It's so basic and inoffensive that my husband uses it as well and he hates the feel of lotions on his skin.
The only downside is the pump is a bit aggressive, it's so easy to get a massive handful when you only want a bit. I decant some into a spray bottle and use it that way to reduce waste, leaving the pump bottle for my husband who uses larger amounts on his body.
If you experience winter dryness or use a lot of actives that require more attention to skin hydration, Kikumasamune is a great value that's unlikely to be irritating.
I put some in a small spray bottle and love using it when I get out of the shower. My skin feels much better. Lasts a long time
I have very very sensitive skin and it didn’t make it flare up so that is already amazing and it doesn’t leave my skin sticky or greasy after it’s moisturizing 👍🏼

I love this for all over body moisturizing under a thicker cream. I gave it to my brother to apply to his scalp after shampooing and it has completely gotten rid of his flakey scalp
I like the feeling of nicely moisturized face after using this.
I have used this product for over two years and love the product. Normally, I use a bit of the moisturizer on my face prior to putting on a cream moisturizer. While there is an initial sake smell, it is definitely not overpowering in the slightest. It works well to keep my face moisturized and I have used it daily ever since I first bought it.
This is a very good product as it does moistorize quite well. The only issue I have is that it is very watery, which makes it seem more like a toner rather than a lotion.
Been wanting to try it for years finally got it and I’m hooked! I highly recommend it. I have aging dehydrated skin and it’s helping. Great to use with sheet masks too since it’s slightly thick
